Oliver and Kate’s bright Bunnyconnellen wedding
The first time I met Kate and her parents was my very first Wedding at beautiful Bunnyconnellen back in 2018! We just ‘clicked’ - you know those people that feel like they’ve always been part of your life! Thats The Stewart Moore family….I instantly felt as if I was part of the family! They were so warm and kind….and that truly is who they are!
Their family have bought Bunnyconnellen alive and it’s now one of the most popular Wedding venue’s of the Darling Downs!
When Oliver and Kate asked me to photograph THEIR Wedding, I was almost in shock! They have attracted some of Australia’s BEST Wedding photographers to their beautiful venue, it was an honour that I must admit, scared me for a hot minute! Yes I am a Wedding photographer…but hear me out...
We have developed such a beautiful relationship both personally as friends and professionally as Wedding vendors so I really wanted their wedding photos to be the best photos they’d ever seen! Not a big task AT ALL…RIGHT? haha..but really! I care about ALL of my weddings - but these guys have been to ALOT of weddings, met alot of photographers…
When I said all of that to Kate, she said ‘oh shoosh - don’t be weird - just be YOU!’
That instantly relaxed me and reminded me of the way they wanted their wedding to ‘feel’…Relaxed and fun, surrounded with people that love and care about them! They wanted it to be a vibrant celebration, a space where they could relax and just ‘be’ That was always going to be tricky for a couple that are usually ‘behind the scenes’ at Weddings, then suddenly their in the lime light of their own special day!
The Toowoomba region really has some wonderful vendors!
I wanted to mention the team behind Oliver & Kate’s special day because these vendors worked tirelessly and made this day one to remember!

There is SO much to say about this day…. From the incredible coordination by Wild Heart Weddings who had everything running smoothly to the fury friends that had us in fits of laughter during their couples portraits (the flowers were pretty yummy according to the sheep!) It was just the most wholesome, fun, memorable day!
There were so many beautiful, fun, amazing aspects that I hope become 2024 Wedding trends!!! The first that comes to mind is the flower bar!
The ceremony florals (by beautiful Lisel from Belle Bouquets) were repurposed as posies for guests to take home! Lisel had a ‘flower bar’ set up in the reception area where she was putting together the posies…What a thoughtful idea! Such a beautiful way for people to enjoy the flowers for days and days after the event!
There was an Oyster bar, Scallop station, daiquiri’s on tap and the most incredible grazing table of local produce! AND of course - the always incredible catering by Soul Kitchen Co had everybody full and happy!
Another favourite aspect of Kate & Olivers Wedding was all of the deserts were homemade for them by their loved ones! A full table spread! Aunty Joyce’s duck egg sponge, Ban Ban Springs Pomelo Syrup cake, Emerald Blackberry & Vanilla New York Cheesecake, Dolly Arkwright’s Shortbread Cake with Pear & Caramel, Aunty Betty’s Ginger nuts and the list just goes on and on!!! Special mention of course to Oliver’s Mum who runs Crows Nests My Little Blueberry who made their Wedding cake and other delicious treats!
A Wedding to remember for its thoughtful touches, a bright and fun celebration of Bunnyconnellen’s own - Congratulations Oliver & Kate! I am wishing you a lifetime of love. I hope these photos take you back to each moment and that you’re filled with joy whenever you look at them! Big love xx
